PURPLE NETWORKS, LLC, a corporation headquartered at 429 Lenox Ave – Suite 551, ZIP CODE 33139, Miami Beach - FL, enrolled with the EIN # 61-1814069, (“PRPLE”) takes your privacy seriously and looks after the data security and protection of all its customers, partners, suppliers, and Users (“USERS”) of this portal and any other website, Platform, and application operated by Purple Networks (“Platform”).

This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) aims to inform you of how we use and disclose the information collected on the Platform. This Privacy Policy applies only to the information collected through the Platform.

ON ACCESSING THE PLATFORM, SENDING IMAGES OR PROVIDING ANY KIND OF PERSONAL INFORMATION, YOU UNDERSTAND THE TERMS LAID OUT HEREIN AND ACCEPTED THIS PRIVACY POLICY, CONSENTING TO THE TREATMENT OF YOUR INFORMATION, AND ALSO PERMIT THE USE OF YOUR IMAGE, VOICE AND RELATED RIGHTS, AS DESCRIBED HEREIN OR UNDER THE TERMS OF THE APPLICABLE LAWS. 

This Privacy Policy provides an overview of our privacy practices and the choices you can make, as well as the rights you can exercise with reference to the Personal Data treated by us. Should you have any doubts about the use of Personal Data, please contact us by e-mail dpo@v2v.net. 

Furthermore, the Privacy Policy does not apply to any third-party applications, products, services, websites, or social media resources that may be offered or accessed through the Platform. The access to such links will make you leave the Platform and may enable third parties to collect or share information about you. We do not control, endorse, or make any representations regarding such third-party websites or their privacy practices, which may be different than ours. We recommend you check the privacy policy of any website with which you interact before allowing the collection and use of your Personal Data.  

If you send us Personal Data on other individuals or even someone else’s images, you declare that you are allowed to do so and that you have obtained the necessary consent to authorize the use of such information and/or images under the terms of this Privacy Policy. 

  1. Definitions
    1. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:
  2. Personal Data” means any information that, directly or indirectly, identifies or may identify a natural person, such as name, Social Security, date of birth, IP address, among others; 
  3. Sensitive Personal Data” means any information that reveals, with regard to a natural person, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, political views, membership in any union or religious, philosophical or political organization, data on one’s health or sex life, genetic or biometric data;
  4. Personal Data Treatment” means any operation concerning Personal Data, by automatic means or otherwise, such as collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or, alternatively, supply, harmonization or association, restriction, elimination or destruction. Personal Data Treatment also includes any other operation set out under the terms of the applicable laws; 
  5. Use of Personal Data
    1. We collect and use Personal Data to manage your relationship with PRPLE and to better serve you when you use the Platform, customizing, and improving your experiences. Examples of how we use the data include: 
  6. To allow the use of the Platform;
  7. Promote and inform of volunteering actions and events; 
  8. Admit and authorize Users;
  9. Eliminate the Users’ accounts;
  10. Interact and moderate;
  11. Analyze user data and write reports with integrated data that will not allow the identification of, nor make identifiable, the User;
  12. Write reports and generate statistics that enable us to: (a) learn more about the volunteering program, as well as the volunteers’ challenges and interests, in order to make the offer of actions more interesting to the public and more effective for the target community; (b) justify the Volunteering Promoter’s investment in social actions and explain to the society the Volunteering Promoter’s interest in public affairs; 
  13. Send segmented messages to the enlisted volunteers according to their interest, offering voluntary actions or sending information to the Users as per manual or automatic analyses based on three criteria: (a) actions, groups, institutions, and any page in which the volunteer has participated in the past; (b) actions, groups, institutions and any page led by the User in the past; (c) causes favored by the volunteers (if they furnish this information in their profile); (d) type of USER (if the User is a company employee, guest, etc.);
  14. Operate and enhance the Platform;
  15. Develop new functionalities to meet the demand for volunteering programs and also conduct studies into the use of the Platform that supports this evolution;
  16. Provide services to the User;
  17. Facilitate User identification and access to the Platform;
  18. Monitor and protect the Platform by identifying faults and maintaining the Platform;
  19. Provide services to the Volunteering Promoter;
  20. Send users automatic messages about their interactions on the Platform. Users may choose to receive those messages or not in their profile settings; 
  21. Enhance the Users’ experience on the Platform by displaying actions near the location informed in their User profile; 
  22. Report data on suspicious activities to the proper authorities. 
    1. In addition, the Personal Data provided can also be used as we deem necessary or adequate: (a) under the terms of the Data Protection laws; (b) to comply with lawsuit requirements; (c) to abide by a court decision, regulatory decision or decision made by the proper authorities, including authorities outside one’s home country; (d) to apply our Use Terms and Conditions; (e) to protect our operations; (f) to protector our, your or someone else’s rights, privacy, and security; (g) to detect and prevent fraud; (h) to allow us to use the available actions or soften the damages we may suffer; and (i) as otherwise permitted by law. 
  23. No provision of Personal Data
    1. You are not compelled to share the Personal Data requested by us. However, if you decide not to share them, in some events, we will not be able to give you full access to the Platform, to some specialized resources, nor be able to effectively answer some queries you may have.  
  1. Data collected

4.1.The general public may navigate the Platform without having to register or send any Personal Data. However, some of the Platform functionalities may require Registration or Personal Data. 

4.2.To register for the Platform, PRPLE may collect:

  1. Name;
  1. Surname;
  2. City;
  3. Personal description (Users upon creating a User account may, as an option, add information about them that they wish to keep visible in their profile for the other Users);
  4. Workplace;
  5. Interests;
  6. History of interventions and participation in Volunteering Actions; and
  7. The institution where they have intervened, participation in groups, committees, teams, departments, and friends on the Volunteering Platform. 


  1. During the general navigation on the Platform, PRPLE may collect:
  1. Location data. Geolocation data when you access the Platform;
  2. Preferences. Information about your preferences and interests as to the Platform (when you tell us what they are or when we deduct from what we know about you) and how you prefer to receive our communication;
  3. Platform navigation data. Information about your visits and activities on the Platform, including the content (and any ads) that you visualize and interact with, information about the browser and devices used by you, your IP address, your location, the address of the website you came from. Some pieces of information are collected through our Automatic Data Collection Tools, which include cookies, web beacons, and incorporated web links. To learn more, read about how we use Automatic Data Collection Tools in item 7 below;
  4. Anonymous or integrated data. Anonymous replies to anonymous and integrated research or information about how the Platform is used. During our operations, in some events, we apply a de-identification or pseudonymization process to your data so it will be reasonably likely that you identify yourself through the use of such data with the technology available; and 
  5. Other information we may collect. Other information that does not specifically reveal your identity or that is not directly related to a person, such as a browser and a device information, Platform use data, and information gathered by means of cookies, pixel tags, and other technologies.

4.4.PRPLE does not collect Sensitive Personal Data.

  1. Sharing Personal Data with third parties
    1. PRPLE may share your Personal Data:
  2. With the Volunteering Promoter, and also with service providers or partners to manage or support some aspects of our commercial operations in our name. Those service providers or partners may be located in the USA or elsewhere around the globe, including homologation and production servers, and data hosting and storage providers, fraud management, customer support, sales in our name, order placement, content customization, advertising and marketing activities (including digital and customized advertising) and IT  services, for instance;
  3. With the following third parties, in order to help us manage the Platform: 

Amazon: Servers that host the PRPLE application, as well as its database, with all the information provided on the Platform. They know everything about the data the Users published on the Platform in addition to their operating system, browser, and IP.

Mandril and Mailgun: Services used to trigger automatic messages from the tool and segmented messages. It has access to the User’s full name, e-mail, and IP, besides the content of the message sent. The message content is kept by this service for 1 month at the most and the Personal Data for 3 months after the last message sent by a User.

Google Analytics: Service used to monitor access to the Platform, pages accessed on the Platform, USER IP, operating system, browser, device used, and User IP location. Users are informed that data are collected by cookies upon accessing the homepage and that the cookies can be disabled if they decide not to give away the data. 

Rollbar: Service used to monitor flaws in the Platform. It has access to the User’s IP, location, name, surname, e-mail, operating system, and User browser.

  1. With third parties, in case of any reorganization, merger, sale, joint venture, assignment, conveyance, or transfer of the whole or a part of our company, assets, or capital (including those regarding bankruptcy or similar procedures).
  2. International data transfers 
    1. Personal Data and information of other nature collected by PRPLE may be transferred or accessed by entities that compose the Volunteering Promoter’s corporate group all over the world in accordance with this Privacy Policy. 
  3. Form of automatic Personal Data collection
    1. Whenever you visit the Platform, it may store or retrieve information on your browser, particularly as cookies, which are text files containing small pieces of information. Visit our PRPLE Cookies Policy to learn more.
    2. This information may be about you, your preferences, or your device and is used mainly for the Platform to operate as you expect it. The information usually does not identify you directly but can offer a more personalized Internet experience. 
    3. According to this Privacy Policy and the PRPLE Cookies Policy, we and our outsourced service providers, with your consent, can collect your Personal Data by a number of means, including, among others:
      1. Through the browser or device: Some pieces of information are collected by most browsers or automatically through Internet access devices, such as computer type, screen resolution, operating system name and version, device model and manufacturer, language, language, type, and version of the Internet browser being used. We can use such information to ensure that the Platform will run properly. 
      2. Use of cookies: Information about your use of the Platform may be collected by third parties by means of cookies. Cookies are information stored directly on the computer you are using. Cookies enable the collection of information such as browser type, time spent on the Platform, pages visited, language preferences, and other anonymous traffic data. Our service providers and we use the information to ensure protection, facilitate navigation, display information more efficiently, and personalize your experience with the Platform, and also for online tracking. We also collect statistical information about the use of the Platform for constant improvement of our design and functionality, to understand how the Platform is used and to help you solve problems with the Platform.
        1. If you don’t want your information to be collected by cookies, manage your cookie management options following instructions at out Cookies Policy. However, this can hinder the use of the Platform.
        2. The definitions you select may affect your navigation experience and the Platform operation that requires the use of cookies. In this regard, we decline any accountability for the consequences ensuing from the limited Platform operation caused by disabling the cookies in your devices (incapacity to define or read a cookie). 
  4. User’s Rights
    1. You can, at any time, request from PRPLE(i) confirmation that your Personal Data are being treated; (ii) access to your Personal Data; (iii) corrections of incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated data; (iv) anonymization, lockup or removal of data that are unnecessary, excessive or treated out of conformity with the law; (v) portability of Personal Data to other service providers, as long as this does not affect our industrial or trade secrets; (vi) elimination of Personal Data treated with your consent, as permitted by law; (vii) information about the entities with which your Personal Data have been shared; (viii) information about the possibility of not denying consent and the consequences of such denial; and (ix) consent revocation. Your requests will be treated with special care so we can ensure the preservation of your rights. We may ask you to prove your identity to ensure the Personal Data are shared with their owner only. 
    2. You must bear in mind that, in some cases (for instance, due to legal requirements), your request may not be immediately satisfied. Furthermore, PRPLE may not be able to do as you wish on account of legal obligations. 
  5. Personal Data Security
    1. We adopt the Technical and organizational techniques set forth in the Data Protection Laws that are applicable to the protection of the Personal Data of our organization. Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system is guaranteed to be 100% secure. If you have reasons to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure (e.g., if you believe that the security of any of your accounts has been compromised), please notify us immediately. 
  6. Hypertext links to other websites and social networks
    1. The Platform may, from time to time, contain hypertext links that will redirect you to network websites of the Volunteering Promoter, our partners, announcers, suppliers, etc. if you click on one of those links to any of those websites, bear in mind that each website has its own privacy practices and we are not responsible for such policies. Check those policies before sending any Personal Data to those websites.
    2. We are not responsible for the collection, use, and disclosure policies and practices (including data protection practices) of other organizations, such as Facebook, Apple, Google, Microsoft, or any other software developer or application provider, social media platform, operating system, wireless internet service provider or device manufacturer, including any Personal Data disclosed to other organizations by means of applications, relating to such applications, or published our social media pages. We recommend that you verify the privacy policy of each website visited or each service provider used. 
  7. Use of the Platform by minors
    1. THE PLATFORM IS NOT INTENDED FOR PEOPLE UNDER 18 (EIGHTEEN), AND WE REQUEST THAT THOSE PEOPLE DO NOT PROVIDE US WITH PERSONAL DATA. 
  8. Updates to this Privacy Policy 
    1. If we change our Privacy Policy, we will publish the new text on the Platform, with the date of the updated revision. We may change this Privacy Policy at any time. If a significant change is made to the terms of this Privacy Policy, we can inform you through the contact information stored in our database or by notice on our Platform.
    2. Bear in mind that we have made the commitment to treating your Personal Data in a way that is not incompatible with the aforementioned objectives, except if otherwise required by the law or court order. 
    3. Your use of the Platform after the changes means that you have accepted the revised Privacy Policies. If, after reading the revised version, you disagree with its terms, please terminate your access to the Platform.
